Terms & Conditions

Reservations: You must guarantee your room by giving your credit or debit card details at the time of booking or by paying a £25.00 deposit to make the reservation (Payment can be made by debit / credit card). The Old Coach House must receive all cheques at least five (5) working days before the arrival date. The Old Coach House regrets that if a cheque is received late or dishonoured it may not be able to keep the room available.

Children: The Old Coach House does not have any family rooms. We do not accept bookings for children under the age of 14 years of age. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted to stay in a room alone.

Payment: At The Old Coach House you pay for your room on departure. The Old Coach House accepts payment by cash, cheque (with a valid cheque guarantee card), credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express). Customers paying with cash or cheque maybe required to provide identification on check-in. Acceptable forms of ID are: current driving licence, ID card, passport, credit card or debit card, utility bill, bank statement (with address) or police warrant card.

Room prices: Room prices are per room per night, no more than two people may share a double room. The prices shown are inclusive of VAT at 20% and breakfast is included in the price. The Old Coach House reserves the right to review its room prices from time to time. If you make a reservation more than one month in advance, the quoted room price may change before the date of your stay at The Old Coach House. Although The Old Coach House aims to inform you before it makes price increases, The Old Coach House reserves the right to charge the room price current on the arrival date or you may cancel the reservation without charge. Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the first night of a booking will not be charged a cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made between 14 and 7 days prior to the first night of a booking will be charged a cancellation fee of £25.
  • Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice will be charged at the full room rate for the first night and £45.00 per night for the remaining nights of the booking. Where multiple rooms have been booked, cancellation charges will apply to each room booked.
  • Cancellations made on the day of a booking will be charged at the full room rate for all nights booked. The same charges apply when a guest does not arrive on the day of the booking and does not contact us to cancel or amend the booking.

The management reserve the right to cancel any reservations without prior notice at which point a full refund will be given on any deposits or payments already made. The company and management will not be liable for any costs or losses incured what so ever by its actions to cancel any or all reservations.

Arrival and departure: Rooms are available from 3.30pm on the arrival date. Please let the Old Coach House know if you are likely to arrive after 7.30pm. Rooms must be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure unless otherwise pre-arranged with the manager.

Group bookings: Sometimes we may offer a group discount, subject to availability. Ask for details.

Particular requirements: The Old Coach House operates a strict no-smoking policy and reserve the right to ask guest to vacate the room.

The Old Coach House offers a range of accommodation to suit all budgets. Please make sure that you book the room you require for your needs. Alternatively, if you have difficulty with stairs, you may request a room on the ground floor near reception for easier access. Although The Old Coach House will make every possible effort to accommodate your personal requirements, all rooms are subject to availability. We apologise in advance if your particular requests cannot be met.

Breakfast: Breakfast is served in the The Breakfast Room between 7.30am and 9.00am Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 9.30am at weekends, times may vary according to season.

Restaurant Meals are not available at The Old Coach House.

Please note: We regret that, with the exception of assistant dogs, no pets are allowed in The Old Coach House. Electrical appliances, such as toasters, mini cookers and portable grills, may not be used in the rooms as they may set off the sensitive fire alarm system.Reservations for rooms are non-transferable and must not, under any circumstances, be sold or otherwise transferred to a third party who is not a member of your group. You must not advertise, market or otherwise offer any of The Old Coach House room for sale either on its own or as part of a combined offer. Prices include VAT at 20% All prices and details are correct at current time and are subject to change without notice. In the event of a disruption to services i.e. electricity, water, sewage the management will not be held responsible or liable for the disruption. Refunds will be at the managements descretion. If guests cause disruption or/are considered to be a nuisance to other guests they may be asked to leave the premises immediately. In all cases a refund will not be issued or considered. All vehicles are parked entirely at the owners risk. The management will not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage whilst vehicles are parked on the premises. If you utilise your room safe, it is automatically covered for up to £250 worth of personal belongings. If you keep items of a higher value in your safe you must notify management immediatly. The management reserves the right to charge for any breakages, damages or missing items of the property from rooms at full replacement / repair value.
